Design & Build
The Google Pixel 8 Pro features a premium design with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on both the front and back, and a polished aluminum frame. It is rated IP68 for dust and water resistance (up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes). The device measures 162.6 × 76.5 × 8.8 mm and weighs 213 grams. Available finishes include Obsidian, Porcelain, and Bay. There’s also a temperature sensor on the back for scanning the temperature of objects.
Display
It sports a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display (“Super Actua”) with a resolution of 1344 × 2992 pixels, ~489 ppi. The display supports an adaptive refresh rate from 1Hz up to 120Hz, HDR10+, Always-On Display, and peaks at up to 2,400 nits brightness in high-light/peak mode. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protects the front panel.
Performance
Powered by Google’s Tensor G3 chip built on the 4 nm process, paired with 12GB RAM. Storage options include 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB (UFS 3.1). No expandable storage. The phone runs Android 14 at launch, with promised major OS updates and security patches for many years.
