Design & Build
The Infinix Hot 40 presents a large form with an IPS LCD front and a glossy build. It has dimensions around 168.61 × 76.61 × 8.25 mm and weighs about 196 grams. The phone comes in several color variants such as Palm Blue, Horizon Gold, Starlit Black, and Starfall Green. It includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and dual-SIM support (nano-SIMs).

Display
A 6.78-inch FHD+ (1080 × 2460 pixels) display powers the visuals, with about 396 PPI pixel density. The screen supports up to ~90 Hz refresh rate in many variants, with a peak brightness of ~500 nits, giving relatively smooth scrolling and good visibility in sunlight.

Performance
Under the hood is the MediaTek Helio G88 chipset (12 nm), with an octa-core CPU (2×2.0 GHz Cortex-A75 + 6×1.8 GHz Cortex-A55) and Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. It comes with 8 GB RAM (plus some virtual/extended RAM in some markets) and either 128 GB or 256 GB of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot for memory expansion up to around 1TB, depending on the variant.

Camera System
Rear cameras include a 50 MP main wide sensor with f/1.6 aperture, accompanied by a 2 MP macro lens (or depth lens) and a very small auxiliary lens (~0.08 MP) in some versions. The front camera is a 32 MP shooter for selfies and video calls. Rear video recording supports up to 2K or 1440p @ 30 fps in many markets; front video is generally 1080p at 30 fps.

The Hot 40 is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery, sufficient for a full day of moderate use. Charging speeds vary: some markets have 33W fast charging; others are listed at lower speeds (18-33W depending on supply). Non-removable battery.

Operating System & Features
It ships with Android 13 under Infinix’s custom skin (XOS 13.5), which includes features like RAM extension, side fingerprint unlocking, and some gaming-oriented optimizations. Connectivity includes USB-C, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi ac (dual-band), Bluetooth, FM radio in many regions, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Other Features
The phone includes standard sensors like accelerometer, proximity, ambient light, compass. It has dual speakers in some variants. Extras such as “Magic Ring” notifications (for certain markets) appear in some marketing descriptions.
