The Infinix Hot 40 Pro features a large 6.78-inch display in a bar form factor with a plastic frame and back, and a glass front. It weighs about 199 grams and has a thickness of ~8.3 mm. It comes in several color options like Palm Blue, Horizon Gold, Starlit Black, Starfall Green, and a special Free Fire edition. The front uses a punch-hole design. The device is dual-SIM (nano), but does not have any official water or dust resistance rating.

The phone sports a 6.78-inch FHD+ (1080 × 2460) LTPS IPS LCD display, with a refresh rate of 120 Hz for smoother scrolling and a touch sampling rate of up to 240 Hz. Peak brightness is around 500 nits, giving good visibility outdoors. The screen-to-body ratio is roughly 84–90%.
